Dorset restaurant named Seafood Restaurant of the Year

WestBeach in Bournemouth, Dorset, has been named as the Seafood Restaurant of the Year in the 2007 Seafood Awards.

At a ceremony held yesterday in London, WestBeach was praised for "an outstanding track record in serving quality seafood and delivering superb customer service".

In the national awards which are organised by industry body Seafish and held every two years, the Seaforth Inn in Ullapool was named Seafood Pub of the Year and Jim Cowie, from the Captain's Galley restaurant in Scrabster, Caithness, was crowned Seafood Chef of the year.
