(26 March 2007 11:40)

Gleneagles’ managing director, Peter Lederer has been named as the new president of the Institute of Hospitality (IoH).

Lederer will be the first president of the IoH since its name change from the HCIMA.

He will take over from the current HCIMA president, Peter Bramich, managing director of Deans Place Country Hotel and Restaurant in East Sussex, at the organisation’s annual general meeting on 24 May.

IoH chief executive Philippe Rossiter said: “I am delighted that a man of Peter’s vast experience and reputation will be the first president in our new era as the Institute of Hospitality.

“The fact he is committed to improving quality, educational standards and training opportunities within the hospitality and tourism industries, will be an enormous boon,” he added.
