Trends & DataThe Bench: North-eastern hotel performance in January 2007(05 April 2007 10:31)Hotels in the North East of England boosted revenue per available room (revpar) by just 0.8% during the month of January 2007. Revpar rose to £37.50, up from £37.20 in January 2006, according to figures from hotel benchmarking service The Bench. Although occupancy dropped by 0.5 percentage point to 58.3%, the fall was offset by a 1.6% rise in average room rate to £64.37, compared with £63.35 in January 2006.
