London revpar drops by 17%

London hotels saw revenue per available room (revpar) slump by 17.1% in the week ending 8 April, according to figures from hotel benchmarking service The Bench.

Revpar fell to £80.06, down from £96.56 during the equivalent week of 2006.

Occupancy declined by eight percentage points to 71.4% while average room rate dropped by 7.9% to £112.05, down from £121.61 in the corresponding week of 2006.
