The Bench: London weekly hotel performance to 22 April, 2007
London hotels saw revenue per available room (revpar) grow by 48.3% in the week ending 22 April, according to figures from hotel benchmarking service The Bench.
Revpar rose to £124.26, up from £83.78 during the equivalent week of 2006.
Occupancy grew by 11.1 percentage points to 87.8% while average room rate soared by 29.6% to £141.45, up from £109.17 in the corresponding week of 2006.

The Bench - which is partnered with US firm Smith Travel Research - provides online benchmarking data for in excess of 34,000 hotels in more than 400 markets.
The online service allows users to track their performance in average room rate, occupancy and revpar in a variety of formats and to measure their daily performance against their competitors.
