Shilpa Shetty to launch curry chain
Celebrity Big Brother winner Shilpa Shetty is to launch a chain of curry restaurants in the UK.
The Bollywood actress told the Daily Mirror she plans to roll out the Shilpa Shetty Dining Hall chain which will have branches across the country.
"The flagship restaurant will be in central London," the paper quoted Shetty's agent Farhath Hussain.
"The work is moving very swiftly and final details are being chalked out."
The Bollywood actress hit global headlines after she was bullied and insulted by some of the Big Brother housemates, triggering allegations of racial abuse.
The racism furore sparked fears it could damage the UK's Indian tourism trade which is worth £226m.
Bernard Donoghue, head of government and public at VisitBritain said: "Our brand of Britain is universally seen around the world as welcoming, friendly, tolerant, accepting and inviting."
His comments came as it emerged there had been protests against Celebrity Big Brother in India with effigies of the show's organisers being burnt on the streets of India.
