Two more FishWork directors quit

(02 May 2007 13:00)

Two more directors at restaurant chain and fishmonger FishWorks have quit as its new owners attempt to restructure the struggling business and turn its fortunes around.

Non-executive directors Nicholas Stanley and Antony Fisher, who were part of the management team that steered FishWorks to a successful listing on the Alternative Investment Market in 2005, have today resigned.

Non-executive director David Singleton has joined the company with immediate effect. He is also chairman of train manufacturer UK Loco.

Gary Ashworth, who was appointed as non-executive chairman of FishWorks in February as part of a rescue deal, said: “FishWorks has now embarked on a new phase with a clear direction, the right management team and strong financial controls.”
