Millennium & Copthorne appoints chief executive to focus on driving US growth
Millennium & Copthorne hotels has appointed John Arnett as chief executive of its North America operations as it looks to focus on driving growth in the USA.
Arnett, formerly president of the Kor Hotel group in Los Angeles, takes over from Sudheer Raghavan who has moved to another part of Millennium & Copthorne.
He starts the job immediately and will join the board at its next meeting on 3 May.
The company, which has 108 hotels around the world, including the Millennium Hotel in London and the Millennium Biltmore in LA, has been focusing on improving its hotels in the USA outside New York through refurbishment.
Peter Papas, Millennium & Copthorne chief executive, said the appointment comes as the company capitalises "on the significant opportunities open to us in this key region over the medium term".
Millennium & Copthorne's US operations contributed about 34% of total revenue last year.
