Tugga restaurant in Chelsea closes after two years

(11 June 2007 10:30)
Tugga, Chelsea, London

Tugga, the Portuguese restaurant in Chelsea, London has shut today after two years, Caterersearch has learnt.

But whether the closure of the King’s Road eatery is temporary or permanent remains unclear, after the owner, Louis Moncao, told Caterersearch it was only closing temporarily due to issue with the rent.

However, another source at the restaurant hinted the restaurant had closed and would open under new management in the near future.

It appears the 74-cover restaurant’s award winning chef Marcos Shiro left the property earlier this year.

Tugga’s sister restaurant Nova opened in Fulham last September.
