Cumbrian village inn sold within two weeks(21 June 2007 15:04)The Crown Inn, a Cumbrian inn set in the heart of the village of Blencow, has been sold within two weeks of going to market. The new owners are chef Adrian Carroll and his wife Sue from Keswick, who formerly owned the White Horse Inn at Scales. Their new venture is nestled in the Eden Valley between the North Pennines and the Lakeland Fells and is near Penrith and Ullswater. It is a hub of the community, hosting the local darts, pool and quiz teams. Along with a 36-seat bar, 16-seat games room, and outside beer garden, the Crown Inn has two en-suite letting bedrooms which were being used by the previous owners in addition to the two-bedroom owners’ flat.
