With pressure mounting for retailers to recycle their waste materials, M&A Environmental has come up with a clamshell-style, degradable food box with a greaseproof lining for take-away chips, burgers, jacket potatoes and baps that provides an eco-friendly replacement for existing polystyrene, plastics and treated-material wraps.


The clamshells are supplied in £19.95 boxes of 250 units.

The group is also selling biodegradable, 8.5in bendy green straws that are manufactured in the UK from a virgin polymer blend which overcomes the rising cost and supply shortages encountered when using the more traditional maize corn starch from the USA.
