Latest NewsNew chief executive joins Jurys Doyle(04 July 2007 11:47)Jurys Doyle Hotel Group has appointed Bill Walshe as its new chief executive, the company announced today. He joins from Jumeirah, the Dubai based hospitality group, where he has been on the management board since 2001, having joined from Kempinski Hotels & Resorts. Walshe’s appointment follows last month’s £791m sale of the Jurys Inns portfolio to Quinlan Private. “We are delighted that Bill has joined as chief executive” said Bernie Gallagher, chairman of Jurys Doyle Hotel Group. “His track record in market leading luxury international hotel companies brings the experience and drive needed to lead our hotels through the next stages of their development. “This will involve a substantial capital investment programme – more than 100m euros (£67m) - across the entire portfolio of 11 hotels in Ireland, the UK and the USA,” he added.
