Staff at the Noor Tandoori restaurant in Coventry Street in the city told Leicester Crown Court that the two men shouted racial insults at staff and management, accused them of being members of Al Qaeda. They then tried to leave without paying. Stephen Braden, 25, and Christopher Hall, 27, both of Leicester admitted charges of racially aggravated harassment. Jailing the men Judge Simon Hammond told them: "We live in a multi-racial society and it's important we have good community relations.” "Racist abuse like this is totally unacceptable and people who choose to get involved in it must expect a prison sentence."
