Oliver’s Lodge, a three-star hotel in the historic river market town of St Ives in Cambridgeshire, has been bought by Abid Hussain.

The detached Victorian building is a short walk from the centre of St Ives, which lies between Cambridge and Huntingdon.

Attracting a healthy mix of business and leisure trade, the hotel provides 17 en-suite bedrooms (including three executive rooms) to sleep 33; a fully-licensed, 20-seat lounge bar; and a 25-seat conservatory restaurant.

The Premier and Garden conference and banqueting rooms will hold, respectively, 65 and 40 guests theatre-style. A two-storey building within the grounds has the potential for conversion into owners’ accommodation.

The Norwich office of Colliers Robert Barry sold the freehold off an asking price of £1m-plus on behalf of Shiren Patel.
