Local buys Keswick inn(01 August 2007 16:49)Ye Olde Golden Lion, a Grade II-listed inn located in the heart of the medieval Cumbrian market town of Keswick, has been sold. Keswick is the major tourism centre for the Northern Lakes region of the Lake District National Park and lies between Skiddaw Fells and Derwentwater. Ye Olde Golden Lion is one of 500 former Spirit managed houses that new owner Punch Taverns has put on the lease market. It has been sold through the Manchester office of Christie + Co on a new Punch Retailer Agreement at a premium of £68,000 with annual rent starting at £55,000 per annum.
