A restaurateur from Lincolnshire who specialises in Oriental cuisine has bought a Cambridgeshire hotel with its own Indian restaurant.

The Papworth hotel is a purpose-built, single-storey property in the town of Papworth Everard.

It is made up off three main wings arranged in a triangle around an inner courtyard.

Along with 20 en-suite bedrooms, the hotel offers a bar and a 50-seat Indian restaurant that doubles up as a breakfast room and function room.

A single-storey detached building to the rear provides four bedrooms for staff.

The Ipswich office of Christie + Co was seeking offers in excess of £900,000 for the freehold, which attracted more than 20 viewings.

The new owner, Mr K Ting, plans to rebrand the Indian restaurant and upgrade the bedrooms.
