Pied à Terre owner to open second restaurant in October
London's two-Michelin-starred restaurant Pied à Terre has unveiled the details of its second venue, as first revealed by Caterer this week.
The Charlotte Street restaurant's majority owner David Moore and chef business partner Shane Osborn will open L'Autre Pied in October.
The 50-cover restaurant will be located on the site of the Blandford Street restaurant in Marylebone.
The menu will be modern French, with head chef being Marcus Eaves, who currently heads the Pied à Terre kitchen under Osborn.
Moore told Richard Vines, London food critic for Bloomberg News, that the restaurant will be a casual dining, high-quality restaurant.
"We're hoping to attract the hedge-fund crowd, as well as the ladies who lunch. Marcus will definitely be a Michelin candidate," he said.
L'Autre Pied will be slightly larger than Pied à Terre, which has a capacity of 40, and will include the restaurant and a private dining room.
The deal for the venue, currently owned by Nick Lambert, is expected to go through early next month.
