National pub operator Enterprise Inns has snapped up the Lygon Arms pub in the heart of the village of Feckenham, Worcestershire.

Like the more famous Lygon Arms in Worcestershire’s Broadway, the Feckenham pub is named after Lt Colonel Edward Lygon, one of Wellington's commanders at the Battle of Waterloo.

Built in the mid-1800s, the inn is surrounded by affluent villages and towns and is an easy drive away from Redditch, Droitwich and Alcester.

Food accounts for 60% of turnover at the pub, which can seat around 100 customers across the 20-seat lounge bar, 30-seat restaurant and adjoining 50-seat conservatory.

A spacious four-bedroom flat for the owners includes three double bedrooms.
 
The Cirencester office of Colliers Robert Barry sold the freehold off an asking price of £625,000.
