Top chefs back relaunch of Adventure Gourmet
Top chefs Chris Galvin, Brian Turner and Anton Edelmann were among those who turned out yesterday to support the relaunch of Adventure Gourmet at Café Spice Namasté, Cyrus Todiwala's celebrated restaurant in east London.
The project, which is backed by Todiwala, his wife Pervin and Peter Hazzard, former food service director at Sodexho, previously operated in Bedfordshire but will now see Café Spice Namasté turned into a culinary centre of excellence in the heart of London.
Peter Hazzard said "London is a global city and with a booming financial sector and the unstoppable trend in global tourism… it's a melting pot for the best international chefs like Cyrus so it's the perfect context for Adventure Gourmet @ Café Spice Namasté.
A number of award-winning chefs, including Todiwala and Chris Galvin, will demonstrate their skills in a series of master classes before audiences made up of their peers and people from the wider industry as well as members of the public with a passion for food.
Todiwala, who has long had a reputation for training and sharing skills, said, "It's always been my dream to set up a hub where my peers and I could give people the opportunity to enjoy what it really means to not just eat but live and breathe good food. It's about informing and entertaining and getting people to develop the passion that comes from successful adventures."
