The Craft Guild of Chefs has launched this year’s New Zealand-UK Link Foundation Culinary Challenge.

The challenge gives young British and New Zealand chefs the chance to win a three-week all expenses paid working visit in each other’s country.

Now in its fifth year, the competition is eligible to chefs between the ages of 18 and 23 who are either employed on in full-time education.

Entrants will be paper judged on a three course menu incorporating New Zealand produce and wine with a cook off taking place at this year’s Restaurant Show at Earl’s Court in October.

Eight finalists will be invited to an awards ceremony held at NZ House in London on 16 November and the winner will be taken to New Zealand in March next year.
