Boutique cinema operator the Everyman Cinema Club is to expand nationwide with plans for 50 new sites in the pipeline over the next five-years.
 
The company offers food and wine at its venues, along with movies and live music. It aims to distance itself from the multiplex experience that the majority of UK cinema goers are used to.

Everyman Cinema Club account director Bernice Dixon-Lines told Caterer the company was looking at a range of different development sites in town and shopping centres where regeneration is a big priority.

“We’re looking at sites in affluent areas without multiplexes and are currently focusing on London and the South-east. We’re hoping to expand across the UK in the latter stages of the development.”

She added: “Everyman is a concept that, if placed in the right location, will work incredibly well. “

The first Everyman Cinema Club venue is located in Hampstead Village in north London, with a second site already agreed under a 30-year lease in Hammersmith Grove.

The new west London venue will be arranged over 20,000ft and will include a 3,000sq ft brasserie with al fresco dining area as well as four screening lounges and function rooms.
