Old World to launch catering service
Old World Hospitality, owner of London Asian restaurants Chor Bizarre, Tamarai and Sitaaray, is to launch a catering arm called Events Etc.
The company already operates a catering and entertainment service in New Delhi in India, where it runs the Habitat World convention centre and has overseen high-profile events at international embassies.
In London, Events Etc will be supported by the pan-Asian kitchens of its restaurants and will launch its service at the Pratham Ball at the Billingsgate Market later this month where it will cater for 600 guests.
The service, which will cater for intimate and large events, will specialise in Indian theme weddings and regionally themed celebrations and will offer a Bollywood and gazal singer as well as a DJ and VJ.
Old World Hospitality managing director Rohit Khattar said: "Our foray into catering in London began years ago with our Mayfair restaurant Chor Bizarre catering at select venues and homes. Now Events Etc London will present the entire gamut of pan-Asian cuisine in addition to Indian. The menu will include dishes from China, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Burma."
