The Bench: West Midland hotel performance in May 2007

Hotels in the West Midlands saw revenue per available room (revpar) fall by 1% during the month of May.

Revpar was £50.73 in May 2007, compared with £51.24 in the corresponding month of 2006, according to figures from hotel benchmarking service The Bench.

Occupancy dropped by 0.9 percentage points to 67.1% while average room rate fell by 0.4% to £75.64, compared with £75.35 in May 2006.
