The Royal Oak Inn, a Grade II-listed property in the Yorkshire village of Gillamoor, has changed hands.

The four-star country inn dates back to the 17th century and is located on the southern edge of the North Yorks Moors National Park. The village of Gillamoor is known for its ‘Surprise View’ which provides a panoramic vista of nearby Farndale and its famous  springtime daffodil walk.

Facilities include six en-suite bedrooms to sleep 12 guests, a 16-seat dining room, and a bar with low timbered ceilings, random exposed stone and cast iron-surround open fire.

The first floor includes a three-bedroom flat for the owners.

The Leeds office of Colliers Robert Barry sold the freehold off a guide price of £525,000 to Holf Leisure on behalf of the McGill family.
