Food and Drink Group has satisfactory year

Henry J Beans and Jamie's Wine Bar owner Food and Drink Group described trading in the full year as "satisfactory" after sales increased 2.4%.

The group said its new Henry J Beans site in Wimbledon and its revamped Jamie's Wine Bar in London's Bishopsgate had performed beyond expectations since opening their doors in the summer.

Food and Drink Group is currently integrating seven Puzzle Pub Company leaseholds into its 26 strong restaurant and bar estate. Two sites should be up and running as Jamie's Wine Bar's by the end of the month.

The group enjoyed a strong first half to the year with sales up 5.2% to £10.5m and pre-tax profits doubled from £300,000 to £600,000.
