Devon-based restaurateur Robbie Ho has bought the Thai Palace restaurant in the prestigious Clifton area of Bristol.

The 120-seat restaurant in Park Row occupies around 2,400 sq ft across the ground and lower-ground floors of a mid-terrace period property with a late license allowing music and dancing.

New owner Robbie Ho – whose other two restaurants include the China Orchids venue in his home town of Cullompton, Devon - plans to reopen the Park Row property in mid-November as Assia in Wok, the first a planned series of Asian fusion restaurants combining Chinese, Thai and Indian cuisines.

The Bristol office of Christie + Co sold the remainder of the 20-year leasehold off a guide price of £100,000 and a current rent of £28,000.
