Orles Barn hotel, a landmark country hotel on the busy A40 at Wilton, Herefordshire, has new owners.

The landmark property, which is made up of a 14th century farmhouse and an adjacent 16th century barn once used as a clog factory, sits in an acre of gardens a mile or two from the market town of Ross-on-Wye.

It lies in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty near the River Wye and between the Black Mountains, the Malvern Hills and the Cotswolds.
 
Along with eight letting bedroom to sleep 16 guest, Orles Barn offers a 50-seat restaurant with picture windows along the whole rear elevation, a 14-seat lounge bar, a second lounge, and an owners’ suite with its own front door that comprises a double bedroom, en-suite bathroom and lounge.

New owners Richard and Kelly Bailey from Cheltenham beat off two other interested buyers. They plan to open the restaurant directly onto a new decking area.

The Cirencester office of Colliers Robert Barry marketed the freehold for offers in excess of £500,000.
