The Round Up toaster range from Equip Line has three new members in the form of vertical contact toasters that will toast buns and rolls in seconds. These high-throughput machines are designed for fast-food outlets and hotels where multiple-slot toasters are too small. They have a small footprint, and operate off a 13amp power source.
The buns are loaded into the adjustable bun feeder on both sides of the heated platen, a dual-sided, grill-like surface that toasts on two sides for twice the normal capacity.
The VCT-25 can handle up to 2,800 slices per hour and has a 25-second pass-through time. This model comes with an optional butter wheel and automatic gravity feed for preloading the buns. The VCT-1000 has a pass-through time of just 10 seconds, and the VCT-2000 - which can be supplied with an optional heated landing zone - will toast buns in 7-12 seconds.
