Latest NewsAward-winning Devon hotel up for sale(31 October 2007 16:16)Award-winning Devon hotel and restaurant the Horn of Plenty has been put up for sale for more than £2m. Owners Paul Roston and Peter Gorton – also the chef - are looking for £2.1m for the freehold property near Tavistock. Gorton told Caterer that after 17 years they had taken the business as far as they realistically could. “Who ever buys this will be taking on a very good business but I’m looking to do something new,” he said. Set in a 10-bedroom Georgian country house hotel overlooking Dartmoor the restaurant is a former Michelin-star holder and current AA 3-rosette winner. The business has a turnover approaching £1m, employs 48 staff and has undergone a refurbishment in recent years. The sale is being handled by property agent Colliers Robert Barry.
