Jill Bartlett wins £1m deal at publisher Emap

Contract caterer Jill Bartlett & Company has won the £1m-turnover contract to provide catering and hospitality services for the 1,300 staff at media group Emap's London headquarters.

The partnership at Greater London House in Camden has seen the launch of the Black Cat Café - in homage to the 1930s art deco building's past as a factory producing Black Cat cigarettes.

Paula Tsung, UK head of facilities at Emap, said: "We wanted a caterer that was stylish, innovative and creative. We found exactly what we were looking for with Jill Bartlett."

Jill Bartlett & Company beat Compass Group's Eurest, the existing caterer, to win the deal.

• Peter Pitham has joined the caterer as business director responsible for new business and sales. He has had 30 years experience working within the industry and previously ran food service consultancy Catering Consultancy Bureau.
