Travelodge boss wins Outstanding Contribution award at Hotel Cateys(14 November 2007 07:00)Grant Hearn, chief executive at Travelodge, was last night recognised for his remarkable achievements in the budget hotel sector, winning Outstanding Contribution to the Industry at Caterer and Hotelkeeper's first-ever Hotel Cateys. The ceremony, sister event to The Cateys, was hosted by Ardal O’Hanlon and took place at London’s Hilton Hotel on Park Lane. The awards honoured the very best of British hospitality within the hotel sector. Winners on the night included Premier Inn’s (East Kilbride) receptionist Paula Middleton who scooped the Extra Mile Award. Judges praised Middleton for her continuous passion and focus for the business. Housekeeper of the Year went to Minjoo Leutwiler-Lee at Sofitel St James in London. Hotel Restaurant Manager of the Year was Nicholas Roulier of Seaham Hall in County Durham, The Novotel in west London was named Green Hotel of the Year while Front of House Manager went to Felicity Wheeler from the Four Seasons in London.
