Wetherspoons offers free Wi-Fi to patrons
JD Wetherspoon is to offer unlimited wireless internet access to its customers following hot on the heels of an identical offer from rival high street pub operator Regent Inns.
Customers will be able to surf for free whenever a Wetherspoons is open in England, Scotland and Wales from Monday, 3 December.
Wetherspoon chief executive John Hutson said: "We are keen to provide our customers with as many different services as possible while they are in our pubs.
"This new facility will allow customers to enjoy a drink or something to eat in our pubs, while at the same time being able to log on to their e-mail and internet for free."
Earlier this month Walkabout and Old Orleans operator Regent Inns offered free Wi-Fi Internet access to its customers after a £1.25m investment.
