Family-friendly restaurant group Giraffe today announced plans to open six new high-street outlets and a concession at Heathrow Terminal 5 in the next 10 months.

The high-street openings are in Oxford, Cambridge, South Kensington, Brighton, Bristol and Victoria, with Oxford being the first of the year, opening on 15 February, followed by Cambridge in March and South Kensington in April.

The openings, added to the T5 outlet - Giraffe’s fourth and largest airport concession – will take the group’s estate to 29. The Heathrow eaterie will be operated in partnership with The Restaurant Group.

Russel Joffe, founder and director at Giraffe, said “The strategy for the year is focused on a sensible and patient growth for the year whilst looking for great opportunities in good locations around the UK. 

“We are also looking to work hard on improving our existing locations after a rapid expansion in 2007.”
