Gordon Ramsay's Paris restaurant launch delayed

Gordon Ramsay's eagerly awaited Paris restaurant launch has reportedly been delayed.

Ramsay is due to open a fine-dining restaurant and brasserie at Trianon Place and Spa Hotel outside Versailles, on the outskirts of Paris.

It was due to open this January, but the Evening Standard claims the fine-dining restaurant will now not launch until March with no firm date for the brasserie.

Ramsay will become the first British Michelin-starred chef-patron to open a property in the French capital.

It also marks a return to his former training ground: he spent three years honing French cuisine skills in the kitchens of Guy Savoy and Joël Robuchon.

Later this year Ramsay will re-open Chelsea's classic neighbourhood bistro, Foxtrot Oscar, which is located at 79 Royal Hospital Road and a stones throw away from his own eponymous restaurant opened in 1998.
