Exclusive: Marco Pierre White to star in new TV show

Chef-restaurateur Marco Pierre White is to star in a new food and cookery series for ITV, Caterersearch can reveal.

The Great British Banquet will capitalise on White's passion for hunting sports and his three-Michelin star chef skills.

Filming is currently underway for the show, which is set to air in June. White told Caterersearch he would be "shooting, fishing and stalking, and sourcing the finest British ingredients and then cooking them".

The new series follows White's appearance last year in Hell's Kitchen, in which he mentored a group of celebrities in a functioning restaurant kitchen.

White is appearing onstage at Caterer's 2008 Chef Conference on 12 May - for a chance to win a ticket to the conference and ask him a question, go to the Editor's blog.
