AA Housekeeper of the Year unveiled

The winner of the inaugural AA Housekeeper of the Year Award was announced this afternoon at the Four Seasons Hotel in London.

Diane Stronach, executive housekeeper at the Four Seasons, was presented with the award at the hotel where she works in Park Lane having fought off the competition of 34 other nominees.

"Housekeeping is my passion. It's in my blood as a northerner," she said "It's the only thing I have ever wanted to do and still is."

Stronach's first position after completing a BTEC National Diploma in Hotel, Catering & Institutional Operations was as housemaid at Buckingham Palace.

John Stauss, general manager of the Four Seasons Hotel London, said: "Diane is our star role model among our executive housekeepers."

The award was presented in association with supplier Northmace & Hendon.
