Accent wins three school contracts worth £1.5m
Accent Catering has added a trio of school contracts worth £1.5m in annual turnover to its books, taking its turnover in education to nearly £3m with 16 schools in the private and state sectors.
From the end of April, Accent, which was set up in 2002, will cater at the independent Schools at Somerhill, Tonbridge, Kent (pictured), the Beaconsfield School in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire and Robinsfield School in London. Somerhill was previously operated by Compass Group's Chartwells, while Beaconsfield was run by Alliance in Partnership and Robinsfield was done in house.
Catering at the Schools at Somerhill - a grouping of three individual establishments with 650 pupils and 100 staff - will operate from a new building housing a kitchen, dining hall and indoor swimming pool.
Last year Accent took on a five-year contract to feed 2,800 students, 80 boarders and 150 staff at Peter Symonds College in Winchester, worth £3.7m in annual turnover over the full term.
It also caters at Seven Kings High School in Ilford Essex and Weald of Kent Grammar School for Girls, Tonbridge in Kent.
