Debbie Taylor becomes chairman of BHA Scotland

Debbie Taylor, managing director of the Old Course hotel, golf resort and spa in St Andrews and Catey winner for manager of the year 2007, has become Chairman of the British Hospitality Association (BHA) Scotland Committee.

Taylor's first official engagement as Chairman will be at the Scotland United "Invest in Scottish Tourism" Conference at Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium on 5 March.

She said of her appointment: "Scotland is a world-class destination and I am very confident that if we all pull together as a united industry with a visionary approach, we can achieve our ambition to grow tourism in Scotland."

Iain Herbert, chief executive of the Scottish Tourism Forum added: "It is vital that Scotland's tourism industry works together to create opportunities for sustainable growth. I am very pleased to be working in association with Debbie Taylor who brings enormous commercial knowledge and industry experience to BHA Scotland."
