Yann Coleou named boss of Sodexo

Yann Coleou is the new UK boss of caterer and facilities management company Sodexo, Caterersearch can reveal.

Coleou, who has been chief executive of the company's France operation for the past four years, will continue to report to European chief executive Philip Jansen in his new role.

Jansen was promoted to European chief executive last March and had been managing the UK operation alongside his additional duties.

However a spokeswoman for Sodexo said the company, which rebranded in January, had decided to strengthen its UK and Ireland operations with the new appointment.

She added that Sodexo France, which employs 32,000 people and generates €1.539b (£1.180b) in annual turnover, was a comparable operation for Coleou to head.

His role also includes responsibility for Sodexo's India business, which Coleou has held for the past year and will continue in the new role.
