Marco Pierre White to star in US TV series
Chef Marco Pierre White is set to star in the Chopping Block, a new restaurant reality-TV series on US television network NBC.
The show will see the man who was the youngest chef in the world to receive three Michelin stars overseeing eight couples as they run two restaurants in Manhattan.
In a cross between Raymond Blanc's series The Restaurant and Alan Sugar's The Apprentice, the two restaurants will compete in a series of catering challenges, with one couple leaving the show after each programme.
In January Caterersearch revealed that White was to star in The Great British Banquet, a new series for ITV set to air in June.
The two new series follow his appearance last year in Hell's Kitchen.
White is appearing onstage at Caterer's 2008 Chef Conference on 12 May - for a chance to win a ticket to the conference and ask him a question, go to the Editor's blog.
