Hotels in Scotland saw revenue per available room (revpar) soar by 70.7% during the month of October.
Revpar was £53.79 in October 2007, compared with £31.52 in the corresponding month of 2006, according to figures from hotel benchmarking service The Bench.
Occupancy grew by 25.4 percentage points to 73.5% while average room rate grew by 11.6% to £73.22, compared with £65.61 in October 2006.

The Bench - which is partnered with US firm Smith Travel Research - provides online benchmarking data for in excess of 34,000 hotels in more than 400 markets.
The online service allows users to track their performance in average room rate, occupancy and revpar in a variety of formats and to measure their daily performance against their competitors.
