Ritz-Carlton makes movies to promote hotels

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company has teamed up with American Express to produce a trio of short films to promote the group.

Made in Hollywood by award-winning Los Angeles-based production house, Anonymous Content (Babel, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind), they will be show on Ritz-Carlton guest room televisions and online at www.ritzcarltonfilms.com.

Bruce Himelstein, senior vice president sales and marketing, at Ritz-Carlton described the move as a first in the industry.

"It will both entertain and encourage viewers to choose an experiential package at a Ritz-Carlton," he said.

The first short film, The Delay, will be followed by Last Night and Heads or Tails in April and July respectively.
