New Walnut Tree "faultless", says Guardian food critic
The Guardian's Matthew Norman predicts calamity at Abergavenny's reborn Walnut Tree, now under the culinary direction of former Michelin starred Merchant House chef Shaun Hill.
But Norman instead finds a nigh-on faultless experience at the Walnut Tree, with cooking of the highest standard.
John Walsh from the Independent is uncertain about the apostrophe in Bord'eaux, the new Ollie Couillaud restaurant in London's Grosvenor House hotel, and is even more so about the merits of the new venture.
AA Gill finds the Harrow at Little Bedwyn in Wiltshire quite simply superb and worth killing a few badgers to get to.
