Compass Group's FMC directors quit

The directors of Compass Group's FMC division, which runs the Wimbledon tennis championships and a host of football stadium contracts, have left the business, Caterersearch can reveal.

Frank McCartney, Martin Joyce and Colin Botting have left Compass by mutual consent "to pursue differing career aspirations".

In a statement, Compass said it had decided at present not to appoint a new director at FMC but instead to divide up the portfolio among its senior operating team.

Compass said: "The directors will continue to work in partnership with us on a number of specific clients, particularly Wimbledon, and to advise on activities with other FMC contracts."

Compass landed Wimbledon in 2003 when it bought Facilities Management Catering, which had had the deal since 1999.
