The versatile new V-Gen food service trolley range from E&R Moffat includes multifunctional cabinets that can save hospital caterers space and money by combining the functions of fridge, regeneration oven, hot cupboard and service counter.

The 18-strong line-up ranges from single-compartment trolleys to models with two compartments and combinations of regeneration, Chillogen, ambient, refrigerated and plate-warming cavities.

Those using Moffat's Chillogen technology allow chilled food to be stored until service is required, when the trolley will regenerate the food to the desired temperature at a preset time or at the push of a button.

The meals can be kept hot - or cold - until needed, when the trolley becomes a service counter.

The trolleys can even be used to cook food from fresh when appropriate.
