The Swiss-made Peel Appeal peelers from Gilberts Food Equipment can handle different fruits and vegetables in four different ways.

The Original Peel Appeal is designed for left- or right-handed use and removes only a fine layer of skin from carrots or potatoes to reduce waste and retain nutrients.

More specialist models include the Julienne Peel Appeal, designed to produce garnishes, fine ribbons and thin slices for tempura vegetables; a Kiwi Slicer, to cut through the thick skins of kiwi and other tough fruits; and a Cheese Slicer.
