Coffee chain Starbucks has agreed a deal to open concessions in De Vere's Village Hotels.

The first of a planned ten has opened in the new Village hotel in Ashton Moss, Manchester.

Further openings are planned in Village Walsall, Elstree, South Leeds, Swansea and Maidstone.

Gary Davis, chief operating officer at Village Hotels, said: "This partnership will give is the opportunity to reach new customers and broaden our portfolio. We are looking forward to extending our partnership across more sites in the future."

Starbucks first started licensing in the UK in 2005, having runs similar partnerships in the US since 1996. It signed its first hotel licensing deal earlier this year with Shire Hotels.
