Stephen Dowd steps down as head of UKinbound
The head of tourism trade association UKinbound, Stephen Dowd, is to step down from his role at the end of August.
Dowd, who has been chief executive of the body for five and a half years, will leave on the 31 August after a handover period with an as yet unnamed successor.
He said: "This was a difficult decision but with the imminent completion of the modernisation and restructuring programme I feel this was the right time for me to seek a new challenge."
Philip Green, UKinbound chairman, said Dowd had guided the association through an extensive, and sometimes difficult, transformation.
"He has helped shape UKinbound's role in a fast changing industry and through his extensive advocacy work has raised the profile and understanding of inbound tourism in the UK."
