Dakota Sherwood Park hotel goes into liquidation

The Dakota Sherwood Park hotel in Nottingham, which went into receivership on 2 May, has now gone into liquidation, Caterersearch can reveal.

The liquidation, which will see the company's assets and shares sold to pay a number of creditors, was petitioned by the hotel's part-owner, Formula 1 driver, David Coulthard.

Coulthard and Dakota chain founder Ken McCulloch came to blows last year, after the F1 driver's accountants claimed that several thousands of Euros were "missing" from the account of the Columbus hotel in Monaco, co-owned with American property developer Peter Morris.

Coulthard had then ordered the sale of the hotel in Monaco.

A source close to the negotiations said the Nottingham hotel was still trading pending assessment as to whether the business can be sold as a going concern. The source also confirmed that there was some interest but "no offers as yet".
