Operon Catering wins three new deals with £1.25m
Operon Catering has won three new deals worth almost £1.25m in total turnover over the full-term.
The contract caterer has won a deal at West Midlands Fire Service in Birmingham, which was previously run by Compass Group's Eurest division.
It will provide catering and hospitality services for the brigade in a deal worth around £500,000 per year over two years.
The deal covers catering at the service's current headquarters in Queensway, the brigade training centre and engineering workshops, and the new headquarters located in the heart of Birmingham, which opens in July.
Operon has also sealed two deals in Ireland worth €500,000 a year (£236,000).
The company will provide staff feeding services and hospitality at the Department for Agriculture and the State Laboratory at Backweston, previously operated by Aramark's Campbell Catering.
It is also catering for 400 civil servants and minsters at the newly opened Department for Finance building in Upper Merrion Street, Dublin.
Joe Mead, managing director of Operon, said: "These are significant contract wins and we are confident they will act as a platform for further business opportunities."
